Flash Lite 2.0 sample applications
Tutorial on the creation of Flash Lite applications
This page has been created to support my job application to the position of the action script developer for FlashLite 2.0. I put here three sample applications with the description of how I solved some coding challenges in action script. Hopefully that this resource will be useful to big amount of action script developers.These examples have been tested on the Nokia Series 60 mobile phones. If you have some other phone please try my apps and let me know if they work there.

Carousel image viewer
This application was created for loading images from
the WEB, and placing them in the carousel using flash lite 2.0 and
php technology for running on Nokia Series 60 phone. This application
has several features:
- Images are loaded from server (number of images is not limited and there
is no restrisction on the image name). Just upload new images to server and
you will see them in carousel.
- Images are placed along the circle
- Use arrow keys to spin the carousel
- Use Enter key to enlarge image

Learn about using placeholders for loading images and movies. Create
placeholders dynamically with attachMovie. Why is it better to use
MovieClipLoader() class and not loadMovie method of MovieClip object
if you have an Action Script in your objects. How to load many images
and avoid the limitation on the number of connections that can be active
at the same time? And finally how to arrange smooth movement of the
pictures in the carouse.
This is a client-server application. Server component is implemented as php
script that returns list of available file names. Files are loaded without
assistance of php script by direct http requests.

Tic Tac Toe
This is the famous game "Tic Tac Toe" created
for Nokia S60 phones using flash lite 2.0 technology. This game has
4 levels:
Level 0 - the computer is dump
Level 1 - computer is smarter
Level 2 - you can win if you start
Level 3 - computer never lose

Thing to learn about the implementation:
Using setInterval to delay execution of Action Script portions
while movie clip is running and chaining games application
parts.
Working with the sound object (Sound) and dynamically attaching of the
audio.

Travel agency
This application was created for as Travel agency ad for Nokia S60 phones using flash lite 2.0 technology.
There is 3 items in main menu:
- Specials (Several offers with images loaded from server)
- View video (1 video loaded from library)
- Reservation (not completed yet, there is just phone number)
